Kentucky Derby Betting Prediction

Kentucky DerbyThe 2011 Kentucky Derby betting race is literally two weeks away, and if you haven't placed your picks yet, now is a great time do so. For the first time since we can recall, online betting enthusiasts have actually had to debate, as to which horse will actually win the Kentucky Derby. Here is our prediction for which horse we believe will win the 2011 run of the roses.

While most of our colleagues still believe that Uncle Mo, the 2010 Juvenile Breeders Cup winner has what it takes to overcome the curse and win the Kentucky Derby, we believe that Florida Derby winner Dialed In will lock in the victory on May 7, 2011. On paper, if Uncle Mo and Dialed In were to race head to head, the majority of the betting public would lay their money with Uncle Mo, considering it has both won a major race before and save for its last start, appeared to be the safe bet to win the race.

However, Dialed In is a horse that has a gluten of talent that none of our colleagues seem to acknowledge. For instance, at the Holy Bull Stakes a Grade III race held at the beginning of every year, Dialed In appeared to be destined for a last place finish. Yet, as the contenders in that race rounded the final turn, Dialed In made a dash up to the front of the field not seen by any horse not named Zenyatta. Ultimately, Dialed In would win the race in rather impressive fashion. Then, with the Florida Derby, rather than start from the back of the field,

Dialed In got off to an early start and seemed to never look back, as it cruised to victory.

Meaning to say, Dialed In should be able to win the Kentucky Derby, if for no other reason, than the fact it has a combination of speed and pace unparallel to any other horse in the field. The sheer mix of riding styles, should allow Dialed In to have enough stamina to win the Kentucky Derby and perhaps the Triple Crown.
