UFC 113 Betting Tips
May 8's UFC 113 card boasts plenty of fantastic action, with competitive fights, and intriguing storylines. For fans of UFC betting, the show will certainly showcase some interesting potential betting action.
Machida-Rua is very much a pick 'em fight. Be wary of anyone who tells you either fighter is a lock. While Lyoto Machida won a contentious decision the first time around, many fans and media pundits felt that Shogun should have got the nod. Many are betting heavily on Shogun. After seeing the former ChuteBoxe phenom seemingly find the answer to Lyoto Machida's elusive style, many fans think Shogun is a lock to win the rematch. This is, however, a fallacy.
Shogun certainly has what it takes to beat Lyoto Machida. The problem, however, is that it is very difficult to envision how he could make his performance more effective. Shogun fought a very smart fight the first time around, leaving his punches in the toolbox and deciding to attack his opponent with his arsenal of kicks. This technique proved most effective, and exposed the fact that most of Machida's prior opponents have been obsessed with attacking Machida's head.
Due to his karate stance and fantastic movement, Machida could avoid such damage, however, Shogun's different strategy proved effective. Shogun punished the legs and body of Machida, catching the champ with stinging leg kicks every time Lyoto would circle away.
The rub lies, in the fact that this very effective strategy still could not convince the judges cage side. Fans of sports betting know that if Shogun hope to win the rematch, it will take next-level game planning and another phenomenal performance.
