UFC Betting – Edgar, Maynard Look To Settle Their Score
Even striped bass fishing fans have to check out UFC 136 in a couple of weeks, as the main event features a tilt between lightweight champion Frankie Edgar and Gray Maynard, who will go head-to-head for the third time. The first two were classics (the second, at the very least, was a classic), and the third match should be no different.
Edgar Maynard Odds – Saturday, October 8th, 9:00 PM ET
Edgar (13-1-1) is out to avenge the lone loss on his record, which came in April 2008 to Maynard, and he’s a fan favorite who has won the “Fight of the Night” honor four times. Edgar is very versatile as he can wrestle and his jiu-jitsu is improving, but he showed everyone he could strike in his two fights with former champ B.J. Penn.
Maynard (10-0-1, 1 NC) is a strong wrestler who is stepping up his striking, and what he lacks in technique, the “Bully” makes up for in power. Hopefully, he’s over his last fight with Edgar, who he should have stopped in the first round due to strikes, and it’s amazing that the champion was able to come back. After that match, Edgar should have tried his luck at online casino wagering sites.
UFC betting odds have Edgar as a -150 favorite, while Maynard comes in at +120, and there is no reason to believe this match won’t live up to the hype. Both are incredibly tough and have excellent conditioning, and it’s going to be a war of attrition. It should go the distance, but Edgar’s versatility should give him the win in your sports betting book.
