UFC 140 Jones V Machida

In roughly three weeks time, the UFC will be once again the center of attention, as the top MMA promotion in North America runs UFC 140 Jones V Machida at the ACC in Toronto, Canada. The event will be both the second time the UFC has come to Toronto, and the second title defense for Light Heavyweight Champion Jon Jones. Here is a bookie software preview of the card.

Jon Jones and Lyoto Machida headline an action packed card for UFC 140. Despite being the second main event Light Heavyweight matchup in a row, for PPV cards, Jones v Machida will have a tough act to follow. For those that missed UFC 139, Dan Henderson returned to the octagon to battle Shogun Rua in an all out war, fight of the year candidate this past Saturday night. Despite both fighters being close to 40 years old, they showed fans and newcomers alike, that the Light Heavyweight division is the best in the world.

For Jones and Machida, following up the potential fight of the year will be no easy task. However, for sports betting enthusiasts across the world, you have to like this matchup. Essentially, Jones has looked up to Machida his whole career, and Machida is in the best shape of his life. Something has to give, when the youngest champion in UFC history and the former Light Heavyweight champion collide on December 10^th at the ACC.

UFC 140 will also feature both Nogueira brothers, as Frank Mir takes on Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira in a Heavyweight bout. Meanwhile, Tito Ortiz takes on Antonio Rogerio Nogueira in a Light Heavyweight bout. Ideally, if both Nogueira’s win their fights, they will move into title contention against the winner of Jones v Machida, and the winner of the Heavyweight title fight in March.
