Rampage Picking Up Intensity Ahead Of Title Fight With Jones
Sports betting enthusiasts from around the world are chomping at the bit to watch Rampage Jackson challenge Light Heavyweight Champion Jon Bones Jones for the title at UFC 135 this weekend. For Rampage Jackson, with two years left before he announces his retirement from the UFC betting world, putting the young arrogant champion in his place, by taking his title would be amazing. At the same time, Jones, will be looking to silence his critics, who say he only fights opponents when they are at their weakest. Here is a preview of the Light Heavyweight Main Event for UFC 135.
Up until the last 10 days, the UFC 135 card was pretty much overlooked by most MMA fans. On the one hand, the UFC had just run a successful show in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil at the end of August. On the other hand, the UFC had shocked the fishing games world, by signing a deal with FOX to debut the brand to a wider audience.
Nevertheless, with less than 48 hours to go until Rampage vs. Bones for the Light Heavyweight Title, fans and experts alike, we included can’t wait for these two fighters to put their money were their mouths are. Over the last few days, Rampage has suggested that Bones has sent in spies to his training camp, to help the champion get an edge.
Furthermore, Rampage believes that Bones has yet to fight a serviceable opponent. As a result of the accusations, Bones finds himself wanting to destroy Rampage because of the personal attacks. The one that sticks out in particular to Bones is the belief that he hasn’t fought any serviceable opponents. Bones has a record of 12 and one with the only real name on his list of victories, being a rusty Shogun Rua, from which he took the title.
Super Bowl Betting Tips
Over the past two weeks, Super Bowl betting has taken on a life of its own, as various sportsbooks both online and in Las Vegas and New Jersey, have placed odds on a slew of events at the big game. From wagering on the game itself, to the halftime act, bettors have a fair amount of bookie software options to wager upon. With only a week until the biggest game of the year, we’ll be looking at a few prop bets that have received a ton of action. Here is a guide to help you along.
With former 1980s superstar Madonna as the halftime show, you just knew that the sportsbooks wouldn’t waste anytime placing odds on her. The biggest bet allows for the bettor to make a profit, based on how the question was worded. Essentially, the sportsbooks are asking the bettor “what color will Madonna’s hair be when she sings at the halftime show?” the three options to choose from, are Blonde -250 or Any other color at +250. The safe bet is anything else, as Madonna is one of those stars, that always does the unexpected the night of her performances.
Another big prop bet being asked of bettors, is how many times Peyton Manning will be on TV during the game? Manning the older brother of New York Giants star Eli Manning, will play host to both New York and New England, as the game is being played at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis. The NFL score for the total wager on this bet is set at three and a half, as Manning’s personal suite should be showed often. For all intents and purposes, we expect the total to go under, as rumor has it that Manning will not show in order to embarrass current Colts owner Jim Irsay.
UFC Betting – “Shogun” Bounces Back, Romps In Griffin Rematch
Even fishing fans had to tune into UFC 134 last weekend, as it was the first time that the UFC had visited Brazil since 1998. The fans were definitely up for it as the card was loaded with Brazilian stars, and the fighters responded with four wins out of five fights on the main card (three of which were first-round victories). Here is a look back at one of those matchups. Mauricio “Shogun” Rua had a lot on his plate heading into this fight with Forrest Griffin. First, he wanted to avenge a 2007 loss to Griffin, whom he said he underestimated back then (and that is something that baseball betting players should understand from time to time). But perhaps more importantly, Rua wanted to prove he was still a contender at 205 pounds after losing the belt in humiliation fashion to Jon Jones. The two former champs started the match by feeling each other out, trying to find the distance, but then Rua hit Griffin with a straight right that knocked him to the ground, and then he swarmed on him until the referee stopped the fight at 1:53 in the first round, which will surely set up a third sports betting contest. Griffin may not have been all there, as he had to leave right after to fight to get back to Las Vegas and watch his wife give birth, but still, Rua came in with a point to prove and he definitely did so. “Shogun” will receive a title shot again, and he should be a strong option if you bet on sports.
What Is A Reverse Bet?
In the world of sports betting, we along with many other handicappers are always attempting to find new ways of being creative, when placing our bets. Over the course of a few months, casual bettors can quickly learn the ins and outs of the betting industry, by placing a variety of different bets. One bet that is made mainly by sharp bettors is the bookie software specialty bet, known as reverse bets. Today, we’ll be looking at why a reverse bet can appeal to casual bettors and sharp bettors equally.
Reverse bets are like a distant cousin at a family reunion, often forgotten. Essentially, reverse bets are avoided like the plague by casual bettors, because the concept behind them is quite confusing. However, like walking over and talking to that distant cousin, a reverse bet actually can turn out to be pretty good for you. In fact, reverse bets can be safer bets for you, then your typical parlay or teaser exotic wager. But what exactly is a reverse bet?
To understand what a reverse bet is, you have to understand what an if bet is. An if bet is a type of parlay, in which you get paid regardless of a win or a loss. Basically, you pick two NFL games, and wager on them as one single bet. In order for the if bet to pay you out for both games, the first game has to win, and then the winnings carry over to the second bet. However, if the first game wins and second game loses, because it was an if bet instead of a parlay, you will be given the winnings of the first game, but not for both games. How this relates to a reverse bet, is that a reverse bet is two if bets. That is to say, a reverse bet takes into account the combinations of two if bets.
World Series Betting – Take Phillies All The Way To The Bank
Most baseball betting players will tell you that good pitching will beat good hitting nine times out of ten, and San Francisco proved that last year in their World Series win. The breeders cup betting odds are looking towards a team with great pitching as the favorites for this year’s Fall Classic, and it’s tough to bet against them.
Philadelphia is the smart play because of their all-world starting rotation: Roy Halladay and Cole Hamels are legitimate Cy Young candidates and as of right night, you could probably throw Cliff Lee in the mix as well and he may be the most unhittable of the three. Roy Oswalt has had a tough year, but he’s still capable of a solid start and he could be the No.4 in the postseason; if not, he and impressive rookie Vince Worley can be added to a strong bullpen that is led by Ryan Madsen. The Philadelphia offense isn’t as explosive as the team that won the 2008 World Series, but they have veterans like Ryan Howard, Chase Utley and Jimmie Rollins who have been through the pressure of the postseason and they won’t be intimidated by anyone.
But the key is to the Phillies is their pitching, and few teams, if any, in the majors, can throw out a playoff rotation like Halladay, Lee and Hamels. Look for the Phillies to ride their horses in the starting rotation to the World Series, and they should be your sports betting online pick.
